Steve Schultz currently serves as President & CEO of Supply Source Enterprises (SSE). Steve has an extensive industry background leading highly successful manufacturing and distribution companies. Prior to SSE’s divestiture from Genuine Parts Company and S.P. Richards in June 2020, Steve served as SPR’s Executive Vice President overseeing these portfolio companies and several product categories. Before joining S.P. Richards, Steve served for six years as North American & International President & COO of GOJO Industries. With headquarters and manufacturing facilities in Akron, Ohio, GOJO is a world leader in the field of hygiene and skin care products but is probably best known as the inventors of PURELL Instant Hand Sanitizer.
The bulk of Steve’s industry experience came from his 16-year career at Essendant, Inc. (formerly United Stationers Inc.), finishing as Group President where he was responsible for over $3 Billion in annual revenues, leading strategy and business development for the Company’s Cleaning and Break Room (Lagasse, Inc.) and Industrial (ORS Nasco) subsidiaries, as well as the enterprise-wide Office Product National Account and New Channel selling teams. In total, Steve has nearly 30 years of sales, marketing, and general management industry experience in both manufacturing & distribution.
Steve formerly served on the Board of Directors at University Hospital Cleveland Medical Center and is currently a Board Member of the National Business Products Council for the City of Hope, a leading research and treatment center for cancer and diabetes located in Los Angeles, California, where he was recognized nationally as the 2017 Spirit of Life Honoree. Steve has a B.S. in Marketing from Miami University and is a graduate of the Harvard Business School AMP Program.
Tim Carmack currently serves as Chief Commercial Officer of Supply Source Enterprises (SSE). Tim has extensive commercial leadership experience across several industries for world class companies. Prior to joining Supply Source, Tim served as Senior Vice President at National Coatings and Supplies, where he oversaw all sales and marketing activities for a $1 billion dollar automotive and industrial paint manufacturer and distributor. Before joining National Coatings, Tim served for two years as the Global Marketing Leader for Thermo Fisher Scientific’s food science and diagnostics business. With locations in seven countries, Thermo Fisher is the market leader in testing the food supply chain to detect and keep the food supply chain free from dangerous pathogens.
The majority of Tim’s experience came from his 25+ career at DuPont, where he ultimately served as the Global Sales & Marketing Director for the DuPont/Solae Soy Protein business, leading strategy and business development for a $1.5 billion business. Over the course of Tim’s tenure at DuPont, he held several global, commercial leadership positions across several business units. He won the prestigious DuPont Marketing Excellence Award where is was recognized for sustainable growth through his marketing expertise. Tim is a certified six sigma black belt. Tim has a bachelor’s degree from the University of Mount Union, a Master of Science from Duquesne University, and an MBA from the University of Phoenix.
Sharling Grummon serves as the Chief Human Resource Officer (CHRO) for Supply Source. In her role, she is responsible for leading the company’s overall human resources strategy, talent acquisition, organization design and effectiveness, learning and development, HR operations, compensation and benefits, employee relations and overall employee engagement and cultural development. As CHRO, she works to transform the function, culture, and impact of HR across the Company to support its business goals and strategies as well as the needs and aspirations or its 350 employees across the United States.
Sharling has been a leader in human resources for more than 25 years, focused on leveraging innovative human strategies to influence business strategy, empower leaders, embrace change and deliver business results. She brings deep expertise in organizational effectiveness, talent management and succession planning, and creating high performing teams that drive extraordinary results.
Prior to joining Supply Source, Sharling spent almost 10 years as the Senior Director of Human Resources for Asurion, where she oversaw global human resource teams responsible for serving over 15,000 employees in Asurion’s call centers and global supply chain operations. In addition, she brings with her experience in the healthcare sector as the Director, HR at Emdeon Business Services, a former division of WebMD, and in talent acquisition and talent management for Dell Corporation. Sharling holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics and a Master of Business Administration from Vanderbilt University.
Chris Lynn serves as the Chief Operations Officer (COO) for Supply Source.In this role, he leads all aspects of distribution, operations, transportation, procurement and inventory planning to support the ambitious growth plans at Supply Source. Chris brings a deep and broad set of skills and experiences that will help Supply source evolve our operating capabilities going forward.
He has 30 years’ experience in operating in retail, ecommerce, manufacturing, wholesale and distribution industries at world-class companies like Cardinal Healthcare, Johnson & Johnson and Pet Retail Brands. Chris has extensive experience in continuous improvement and building supply chain and operational structure for future growth. Throughout his career, Chris has managed global supply chains with suppliers, manufacturing plants, distribution centers and customers around the world. He has achieved significant results through leading teams and driving major projects aimed at delivering rock-solid foundational excellence. Chris holds a bachelor’s degree in marketing from Miami University and an executive MBA at Loyola University of Chicago.
Chuck Renz currently serves as the Chief Product Officer of Supply Source overseeing the Category Management, Product Development & Engineering, and Product Sourcing functions with the responsibility for Supply Source’s product vision and roadmap. He has spent his entire career focused on developing and globally sourcing new products. Chuck brings with him an extensive background leading Product Development, Product Sourcing, Product Quality, and Product Marketing in many diverse categories ensuring the development of cutting-edge and user-friendly products.
Prior to joining Supply Source, Chuck served as the Vice President of Product Development, Sourcing and Quality for S’well in New York.He was instrumental in broadening the product portfolio in food and beverage containers. Before that, Chuck was the Vice President of Product Development and Quality for Jarden Home & Family in which he led the product functions for the Quickie Cleaning Tools and NUK Baby Products brands, among others. Chuck holds a bachelor’s and master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Duke University and Purdue University respectively.
Troy Rochat currently serves as the Chief Information Officer (CIO) of Supply Source. He is a 25+ year veteran IT & business executive. Troy has played a major role within IT, consulting and equity, safety and cleaning, worldwide after-market parts distribution, Commercial Aircraft, Business Aircraft, Aircraft Service Centers, Aerospace Fractional Ownership, and Powersports in the U.S., Canada, and Europe. Additionally, he has been responsible for leading more than eight major SAP implementations over his professional career as a certified SAP consultant.
Prior to Supply Source, Troy consulted as a Principal with the Boston Consulting Group (BCG) helping facilitate the carve-out of the Bombardier Regional Aircraft aftermarket parts solutions for Mitsubishi Heavy Industries.In addition, Troy was the VP, IT, at Tucker Powersports where he led system stabilization, company carve-out, governance, and the implementation of a structured project management office. The majority of Troy’s professional career was with Bombardier Aerospace having worked at all major divisions, finishing as the General Manager, Aftermarket Parts Distribution, and previously held dual titles as VP, IT and Distribution.He has also been part of a software development team programming satellites for the department of defense. Troy holds an MBA degree in Executive Management from Wichita State University in Wichita, KS and a bachelor’s degree in Mathematics/Computer Science from Friends University in Wichita, KS.
Larry Tate currently serves as Chief Financial Officer of Supply Source. He has nearly 30 years of experience working with private equity funds and their portfolio companies in various strategic and financial leadership roles guiding them through transformational phases. While Larry has worked with companies varying greatly in size, complexity, financial strength, geographic coverage, his work has largely concentrated on Industrial and Infrastructure sectors, including B2B product distribution.
Prior to joining Supply Source, Larry was the CFO for a Carlyle backed portfolio company where he played a key role in assessing the company’s business strategy, identifying performance improvement opportunities, bolstering the liquidity management and financial reporting processes, and leading the company through a complicated debt restructuring process with its lender.
In his extensive career, Larry is a proven leader in driving the evaluation and due diligence of new investment opportunities, driving post-close transformation and providing oversight across all portfolio investments. In addition, he has advised on key areas of business performance, commercial/M&A opportunities, competitive landscape, product offering/roadmap, budget plans, capital spending plans, incentive plans. Larry holds a bachelor’s degree from the College of William & Mary in Williamsburg, VA.
